She then moved to an area theatre located in Minnesota in which she was featured in a mock documentary film on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). She moved into Los Angeles after making her debut as an innocent, but funny contestant. In the decade that followed, she appeared in many well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
